| ![]() OTTAWA FEST A SUCCESS!
With more than 1500 attendees and sold out screenings, the satellite edition
of Inside Out in Ottawa-Gatineau was a success. Toronto filmmakers Michèle
Clarke (Black Men and Me) and Malcolm Ingram (Small Town Gay Bar) charmed
the pants off audiences in the capital. Inside Out also brought a few
surprises, including the Canadian premiere of French film Poltergay and the
American surfer film Shelter.
With press articles in every paper in the city, Inside Out really made an
impact. Even the conservative Ottawa Sun was gushing... Some of the
headlines:
"Something to Cheer About!" & "InsideOut film fest kicks off with packed
house opening night" - Capital Xtra
"Queer Film Festival Gives Boost to LGBT Community" - Centretown News
"Festival Turns Gay Ideas Inside Out" - Ottawa Sun
"Inside Out vient égayer les cinéphiles d'Ottawa" - Le Droit
